| Currently, what kind of WG is there? |

| The current WG (working groups) are the following 11 (As of July 2010). ・STB WG ・IP-Communications WG ・Education WG ・Marketing WG ・Network & Security WG ・Distribution WG ・System Core WG ・Application & Service WG ・Automotive WG ・Future Systems WG ・Test & Certification WG (Consumer Electronics WG has ended due to their mission being accomplished. VoIP WG has integrated with IP Communication WG. Marketing and Education WG has been divided into Marketing WG and Education WG.) The language used in WG differs depending on the corporation members participating in the WG. WG with only Japanese corporations participating are progressed in Japanese; however, it is predicted that WG will be English centered if more members from overseas newly participate and can be said that the used language fluctuates. Currently, communications within WG with overseas corporations participating are basically done in English. |
| Is it possible to participate in several WG? |
| Yes. Acceptance from the coordinator is necessary to participate in a WG. Please apply for participation following the below steps. 1. Become a member of OESF and acquire an OESF E-mail account. 2. Apply for registration of ML of the WG you desire to participate by sending an E-mail to admin@oesf.biz. Please notify the participating members (limited to persons whom acquired an OESF E-mail account) at this time. 3. Please consult with the coordinator of participating in the project development of the WG through ML communication. WG operates valuing the autonomy of the coordinator and the participants. Therefore, each WG has their individual ways of handling matters. Please begin with making inquiries of further details to the coordinator by participating in the ML. |
| Is it possible to establish a new WG? |
| Yes. In case of establishing a new WG (launching a project), please apply for the project to the OESF bureau. Please consult by sending an E-mail to office@oesf.jp (limited to corporation members with membership qualification. Please understand that you may not apply before becoming a member of OESF.) |
